The water utility company of Malatya Water Supply System (MASKI) has addressed significant hydraulic and management issues of water supply systems related to the demographic and urban development experienced in the last decades. The strategy adopted for the rehabilitation of the Malatya network has been defined as follows: implementation of a monitoring system of flows and pressures; numerical modelling and calibration; application of international standards (International Water Association IWA) for the reduction planning of non-revenue consumptions; education and training activities of utility technicians and operators.
